We sourced the fruit for this year's Pseudonym from the Tondre Grapefield Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. Just like his father Tondre, grower Joe Alarid is passionate about his vines and grows several different pinot clones. The southeast facing slopes provide ample sunlight and even ripening throughout the long growing season. A strong coastal influence from the Monterey Bay ensures cool nights, preserving acidity for firm structure.
ALERT! A renegade Petite Sirah has infiltrated our line up. Be warned that there is nothing "petite" about it. Underestimate this wine at your peril.
The 8th vintage of our best selling, signature red blend and it's still a secret...

Subterfuge is our new Bordeaux style blend. The word “subterfuge” is derived from the 16th century French subterfugere, meaning ‘escape secretly’. The blend is an homage to the Old World style of the Bordeaux region, with an unmistakable New World twist.
